Role Details

The Group Financial Controller plays a key role in enabling One Vinarchy. Reporting to the FP&A and Corporate Finance Director, this position is responsible for the integrity, governance and consistency of global financial reporting across Vinarchy’s operations. This role has 2 direct reports and is a critical leadership conjugate between the East and West Corporate and Financial Accounting teams.

 

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Lead global financial reporting, statutory close and consolidation processes across all regions
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements and internal accounting policies
  • Design and maintain robust financial governance, controls and risk management frameworks
  • Manage external audit, statutory reporting and key stakeholder relationships
  • Provide Board, executive and Audit & Risk Committee reporting and technical accounting support
  • Lead and develop geographically dispersed corporate accounting teams

 

Your Experience / Capability

  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (required)
  • 10+ years’ experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting or audit roles
  • Advanced technical accounting expertise (IFRS essential; US GAAP desirable)
  • Deep understanding of complex accounting areas including goodwill and intangibles, leases, hedge accounting, share‑based payments, provisions, SGARAs, and financial instruments
  • Proven experience leading global or multi-region finance teams
  • Strong governance, risk and control expertise
  • Experience presenting to Boards, Audit & Risk Committees and senior executives
  • Effective management of external relationships including auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and lenders
  • Ability to partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Commercial Finance to support strategic objectives
  • Experience driving improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and automation
