About the role

Reporting to the Berri Distribution Centre Manager, this hands-on leadership role sits at the core of our warehouse operations. You’ll work rotating shifts (day, afternoon and night) Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.
In this modern, climate-controlled warehouse — supported by automated guided vehicle (AGV) technology — you’ll lead a committed team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality distribution outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead, coach and motivate a high-performing team to deliver accurate and efficient picking, packing and loading. 
  • Champion a strong safety and quality culture across all warehouse activities.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring, feedback and performance support to team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to enhance productivity.
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
  • Support internal and external audits, including actioning follow-ups and corrective measures.
  • Operate forklifts safely and support AGV-enabled warehouse processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data across warehouse systems, including WMS, AGV management and JDE.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Significant experience in warehousing or distribution centre operations.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety compliance.
  • A current forklift licence.
  • Solid problem-solving ability and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and contribute ideas.
  • A professional, flexible approach and ownership mindset.
  • Self-motivation, reliability and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Certificate III in Transport & Distribution (Warehousing & Storage) or equivalent. (Desirable, not essential)
  • Experience working within a lean culture or continuous improvement environment.
