About The Role
Based on‑site at Berri Estates, one of the largest winery operations in the Southern Hemisphere, this is a hands‑on HR Advisor role supporting leaders and employees across Winery, Packaging and Warehouse operations in a unionised, operational environment.
Reporting to the (Snr) HR Business Partner, you’ll provide practical HR advice and support across a broad range of people matters, with a strong focus on employee relations, day‑to‑day HR operations and leader coaching.
This role is well suited to an experienced HR Advisor looking to deepen their ER/IR capability and build their career in a complex, fast‑paced site environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee & Industrial Relations

Provide advice and support on ER matters including performance, conduct, grievances and investigations

Support leaders with EA interpretation, consultation processes and union engagement

Assist with case management, documentation and preparation for formal processes
Operational HR & Leader Support

Coach and support frontline leaders on people processes and everyday HR matters

Embed consistent, fair and values‑led people practices across the site

Identify emerging people risks and escalate where required
Change & Workforce Support

Support organisational change and consultation activities

Assist with workforce planning, seasonal and vintage resourcing
Talent, Reward & Governance

Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment and workforce pipelines

Support performance cycles, remuneration reviews and policy implementation

Partner with Health, Safety & Sustainability to strengthen site safety culture
About Your Experience
- Experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role, ideally in an operational or unionised environment
- Exposure to employee relations matters and confidence providing day‑to‑day HR advice
- A practical, solutions‑focused approach and sound judgement
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with frontline leaders
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, agribusiness or similar environments (preferred)
- Tertiary qualification in HR or a rleated discipline (preferred)
Physical & Other requirements:
- Current driver’s licence
- Travel between operational sites and vineyards may occasionally be required with irregular travel interstate
- Incumbent will be expected to work flexible hours including working outside normal hours on occasions with some global HR team conference calls in the evening.
- Incumbent must be prepared to undertake additional training to complement the requirements of the position
