Role Details

This role is responsible for welcoming and engaging guests with warm, professional service, ensuring a memorable dining experience that reflects our hospitality standards. You will manage guest arrivals, reservations, and seating flow, support day-to-day restaurant and cellar door operations, and follow all SOPs. The role also includes housekeeping and stock management duties, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional food and wine experiences. This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week), primarily based at the St Hugo Grant Burge Cellar Door & Restaurant.  

What You'll Do

• • Deliver exceptional customer service while performing food and beverage operations to brand standards. 

  • Drive sales, Wine Club sign-ups, and customer data capture to meet Brand Home KPIs. 

  • Work effectively both independently and in a team, demonstrating strong time management and attention to detail. 

  • Apply wine knowledge, selling skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement. 

  • Competently use POS systems and support service across both the St Hugo Grant Burge Wine Lounge and Restaurant.  

What We're Looking For:

Essential 

• Flexibility to work across a 7-day week, including evenings and events  

• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate 

• Experience in a fast-paced wine-focused environment, or Café or Restaurant environment 

• Demonstrate a passion for wine, and desire to deliver quality wine experiences to customers  

Desirable 

• Current First Aid Certificate  

• Hospitality certification or equivalent 

• Responsible Person badge 

• Barista experience  

• Knowledge of other Cellar Door/ Hospitality offerings in the local area
