About the role
Just under an hour from Adelaide, St Hugo sits in the heart of the Barossa Valley, surrounded by breathtaking vineyards and the Barossa Ranges.
We’re looking for passionate, customer-focused Casual Front of Guest Hosts to create unforgettable food and wine experiences while driving sales and Wine Club sign-ups. In this role, you’ll deliver warm, professional service, capture guest data, and work both independently and as part of a dynamic team. Attention to detail, strong time management, and a genuine love for wine are essential, along with a willingness to learn and stay ahead of industry trends. You’ll support operations across our stunning venues—including St Hugo Wine Lounge, Restaurant, Jacob’s Creek Café, Welcome Desk, and Cellar Door—while confidently using POS systems and maintaining the highest quality standards.
What You’ll Bring
• Flexibility, energy, and a genuine love for wine
• Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including evenings and events
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in a fast-paced wine, café, or restaurant environment
• Proven ability to drive sales
• Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
Desirable Skills
• WSET qualification
• Hospitality certifications
• First Aid certification
• Responsible Person badge
• Knowledge of local cellar doors and hospitality offerings
