About the role

Petaluma was founded in 1976, built on the belief in carefully selecting the finest viticultural sites within a particular iconic Australian wine region. Located in the Adelaide Hills township of Woodside, just a 40min drive from Adelaide. Offering expansive views, the site has a modern, elegant interior in which to enjoy a fine wine experience.

As the Cellar Door Host, you will support the Cellar Door Manager and Petaluma Team to deliver exceptional wine experiences to our visitors, showcasing some of the finest wines in our portfolio.

This is a Permanent Part-Time Position with a minimum of 3 days per week (18 hours total, 6-hour shifts). You must be available to work across a 7-day roster, with opportunities to flex hours upwards.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver exceptional cellar door experiences, including hosting tastings, tours, and events
• Manage daily operations such as cash handling, stock replenishment, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Promote wine club memberships and assist with growing our premium member base through in-house and phone marketing.
• Prepare and serve light food, platters and assist with wine order packing and dispatch.
• Support the Cellar Door Manager with events that showcase our historic venue and premium portfolio.

What You’ll Bring:

• Passionate about wine & enjoy sharing stories about wine and history
• A collaborative team player with exceptional customer service skills
• Previous cellar door or wine industry experience (highly desirable)
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• RSA (required) WSET Level 2 (desirable)
• Knowledge of safe food handling
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft Suite, EDM software)
• Hold a valid driver’s licence
• Comfortable with lifting and handling glassware
• Available for weekday and weekend shifts
