About the role
Vinarchy is seeking a strong Category Manager to lead the optimisation of our direct spend portfolio — delivering cost efficiency, supply certainty and long‑term commercial value. You will shape and execute category strategies, strengthen critical supplier relationships and drive sourcing and cost‑optimisation initiatives that support operational priorities and business goals.
Your expertise will uphold our standards of quality, performance and compliance. Reporting to the Procurement Manager ANZ, you will collaborate closely with Production, Operations, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver disciplined commercial outcomes and support high‑quality execution across the business. This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Adelaide, offering hybrid working.
What You'll Do

Develop and deliver category strategies informed by market insight and long‑term sourcing plans

Lead sourcing activities including RFPs, supplier evaluations, benchmarking, negotiations and contracts

Manage key suppliers to strengthen performance, compliance, innovation and continuous improvement

Support NPD and EPD through early supplier engagement, cost modelling and material readiness

Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance on production needs, budgets and spend analytics

Identify and mitigate category risks while maintaining governance and responsible sourcing standards

Drive cost optimisation through value engineering, packaging improvements and commercial initiative
What You'll Bring
We’re seeking a capable, driven Category Manager with strong commercial, analytical and collaboration capability.

5+ years in procurement, category management or packaging (FMCG/wine/beverage preferred)

Strength in supplier management, negotiation and RFX processes

Strong analytical skills (spend analysis, forecasting, data‑driven decisions)

Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration
-
Advanced Excel and ERP/procurement systems experience

Business‑related degree, flexibility for occasional out‑of‑hours work and travel

Current driver’s licence and a proactive, growth‑oriented approach
