About the role

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit & Risk, this role plays a key part in delivering strategic, operational, and compliance audits in line with Vinarchy’s Internal Audit Plan. You’ll also support the monitoring of critical risk exposures and help ensure the organisation meets its corporate governance responsibilities. In addition, you’ll assist in developing and implementing core risk management activities that contribute to a strong, proactive risk culture across the business.

This is a full time, permanent position offering hybrid working and is based in Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Internal Audit & Risk Specialist

Join Vinarchy’s dynamic team to lead and support internal audit and risk management initiatives. In this role, you will:

•    Conduct strategic, operational, and compliance audits, reporting findings to senior management.
•    Collaborate with departments to address audit recommendations and monitor action plans.
•    Contribute to the development and scheduling of the Internal Audit Plan.
•    Support continuous monitoring efforts and ensure timely resolution of exceptions.

Risk Management Responsibilities:

•    Assist in developing and maintaining the Risk Management Framework and tools.
•    Facilitate risk awareness, training, and company-wide risk assessments.
•    Maintain and update Strategic and Business Unit Risk Registers.

General Duties:

•    Assist in the management of quarterly controls testing and reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee.
•    Provide expert advice on audit and risk matters across the organisation.
•    Lead and mentor internal audit staff, represent the department in meetings, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

As we are a global business, some out of hour’s work including conference calls with non-Australian time zones will be required.

What You'll Bring:

•    Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with CA, CPA, or CIA certification.
•    Minimum 5 years of Internal Audit experience, ideally in a senior role or top-tier firm.
•    Strong knowledge of Internal Audit & Risk standards and best practices.
•    Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
•    Skilled in report writing for senior management and assessing risk materiality.
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
•    Proven leadership experience, including staff development and team motivation.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide meaningful business advice.
•    Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
