Role Details
As our Supply Chaan business continues to thrive, we are hiring an experienced Inventory Controller based in Auckland.
This role will oversee stock replenishment, ensure inventory accuracy and compliance, support imports/exports, and manage reporting, stocktakes, and pallet control.
This role is key to maintaining efficient, traceable, and cost-effective inventory operations and will report into the Head of Customer Service and Logistics APAC.
Your Key Accountabilities
- Inventory Oversight – Manage FG and RM inventory across third-party manufacturing and warehousing sites, ensuring data accuracy, traceability, and FIFO compliance in JDE
- Stock Replenishment – Maintain a scheduled FG replenishment program to the Christchurch warehouse, ensuring timely and complete order fulfilment
- Import/Export Compliance – Support import/export processes in line with NZ Customs and regulatory requirements through accurate documentation and procedures
- Warehouse & System Management – Resolve warehousing and IT integration issues, drive system improvements, and oversee stocktakes and warehouse utilisation
- Reporting & Performance Monitoring – Deliver regular inventory reports, manage cycle counts, damages, case fill rates, and assess customer returns
- Process & Pallet Control – Manage product allocations, Chep and pallet tracking, and support run in/run out processes while maintaining inventory policy compliance
What You'll Bring
To excel in this role, you should bring strong inventory management skills with experience in overseeing stock across multiple sites and systems like JDE. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, traceability, and FIFO principles are essential. You’ll need solid knowledge of import/export compliance and the ability to manage third-party warehousing relationships effectively. Strong problem-solving skills, especially with IT system issues, along with excellent organisational and reporting abilities, will help you drive continuous improvement and maintain efficient inventory operations.
Your Knowledge and Skills
• Prior experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector or a similar industry is advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) or comparable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is preferred.
Essential Qualifications
• A minimum of three years’ experience in an inventory/warehouse environment.
• Vocational certification or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is desirable; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
