About the role
You will be responsible for leading the delivery of optimised supply plans on a weekly basis within the European based Supply Planning function.
The key elements of this role are producing and executing supply plans on a weekly basis that meet overall business requirements.
This includes liaising directly with suppliers, freight forwarders, operational teams, Commercial Operations functions and key stakeholders to resolve any issues which arise, along with ensuring clear forward visibility to the business of forward supply plans, requirements and imbalances.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsibility for executing supply plans covering inventory holding in excess of £30m GBP for a minimum 7 manufacturing sites in Europe, the Americas and South Africa over 800 PICs
Supply Planning: To lead the planning, issue & execution of Operational Model/Supply Plans for the European Supply Planning function on a weekly basis for the agreed planning horizon (currently 20 weeks)
• Generating bulk, cased goods and works order requirements for relevant packaging sites.
• Ensuring that plans balance and optimise customer service, inventory levels, operational efficiencies and planning parameters
Key stakeholder and supplier liaison: Weekly (or as agreed) liaison with key suppliers and internal functions & stakeholders to ensure supply plans are aligned to latest intelligence and communicated to required. Including:
• Weekly meetings with the Operations Team to ensure supply, production and scheduling plans are fully aligned to key planning parameters
• Managing the weekly MPS runs and plan handover to the Operations Teams
• Weekly (or as required) liaison with key suppliers (internal and 3rd party) to ensure plans are robust and reflect latest intelligence
Tactical & Long Term S&OP: To fully participate and contribute to the weekly and monthly SO&P processes, including:
• Leading the Exceptions Review Process from a Supply Planning perspective - providing forward visibility of supply & demand positions, highlighting issues and resolving imbalances where possible
• Providing weekly stock and inventory projections
• Highlighting and escalating Long stocks/life issues via Portfolio/PILM process for action
Planning Data: Responsibility for ensuring that all relevant planning data is reviewed, maintained and updated to maintain the integrity of the planning system on a weekly and monthly basis as required. Including:
• From an Ops model perspective, leading the analysis, problem solving, review and maintenance, as well as continuous improvement of key planning data & associated reporting and actions on a weekly, monthly or as required basis.
• Cross team and cross functional collaboration to ensure planning data integrity is maintained at all times

Essential Qualifications
• Highly Computer Literate, especially Excel
• Experience of manufacturing planning, S&OP & MRP-II & ERP environments, Advanced Planning Systems & ideally JDE
• Proven Supply Planning experience
Required Experience
• GCSE English or maths equivalent
• Formal qualification in Supply Chain
