About the role
The Vineyard Operator is a full-time position that assists in growing quality fruit and developing our vineyards by performing various operational tasks in accordance to set standards under supervision. Due to the seasonal nature of the work, the position is required to work 12 hours shifts (day or night) during harvest or spray season, including on weekends.

Due to the seasonal nature of the work, the position is required to work 12 hours shifts (day or night) during harvest or spray season, including on weekends.
Key Responsibilities Include
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small vineyard team.
• Performing vineyard activities as per seasonal demands, including pruning, trellis and irrigation.
• Safe, efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
• Vine health activities including pest and disease monitoring and weed control, fertiliser application.
• Trellis maintenance including post driving, nailing and wire work.
• Maintaining records on vineyard activities.
• Undertake irrigation system maintenance.
• Reporting and administrative tasks.
• Housekeeping activities.
• Complying with company policies and procedures.
• Ensuring own personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ensuring all hazards, incidents and improvements are reported in a timely fashion.
What You Will Bring
· Proven team player who is committed to quality, safety and environment.
· Previous vineyard or agricultural experience (preferred).
· Ability to meet internal Grade 1, 2. 3 or 4 vineyard classification requirements.
· Good understanding of viticultural practices.
· Experience with tractor and machinery operation.
· Basic computer literacy skills.
· Use email and calendar applications to effectively communicate and time manage.
· Drivers Licence.
Desirable:
· Basic First Aid Certificate.
· Certificate or Diploma in Viticulture.
· Endorsement ‘F’ for forklift use – or forklift licence.
· Vineyard experience.
· Mechanical aptitude.
· Interest in viticulture and wine.
· Ability to relate well to other staff.
