About the role:

Working with the Assistant Winery Manager and Winemaking Team, this role helps coordinate daily activities, supports training and SOP development, and contributes to a safe, engaged and high-performing cellar environment. The Winery Technician provides technical expertise and hands-on support for cellar operations to ensure wine quality, safety and efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Operations: Support daily winery operations by ensuring tasks are planned, compliant, and efficiently executed.
  • Technical: Provide technical expertise to optimize winery equipment and processing performance.
  • Education & Training: Coordinate cellar training, maintain records, and deliver inductions to promote ongoing learning.
  • Leadership: Mentor cellar staff, drive continuous improvement, and foster a safe, engaging work environment.
  • Compliance & QSE: Uphold quality, safety, and environmental standards while ensuring adherence to company policies and legal obligations.

What you'll bring:

  • Technical expertise with winery tools, machinery and equipment 
  • Experience in wine production, including prior vintage experience  
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership capability 
  • Ability to train others and maintain high operational standards 
  • Competency in Windows-based systems and attention to detail
