Role Details

The Finance Manager Shared Services is accountable for the leadership and operational performance of Vinarchy’s global shared services function across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and associated general ledger reconciliation activities. This role ensures timely, accurate and compliant financial processing, leading a high-performing team that spans both onshore and offshore resources. It is central to driving process efficiency, service delivery excellence, and continuous improvement in support of Vinarchy’s financial and operational goals.

Your Key Accountabilities

Shared Services Strategy & Leadership

 Provide leadership to the Shared Services teams globally, including direct oversight of Regional Shared Service Leads in ANZ and the UK, and accountability for both onshore and offshore teams.

 Define and execute the shared services strategic roadmap aligned to the Finance Operations and broader corporate objectives.

 Champion a high-performance culture, focused on continuous improvement, service delivery, and compliance.

 Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative working environment.

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

 Own the end-to-end processes for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring accurate, efficient and timely processing of transactions.

 Oversee the monthly completion and review of General Ledger reconciliations, ensuring appropriate controls and timely clearance of reconciling items.

 Maintain strong governance frameworks, ensuring consistent adherence to SOPs, audit and regulatory compliance, and internal controls.

 Drive adherence to and continuous improvement of SLAs for offshore processing teams, ensuring accountability and performance metrics are met.

 Act as the final point of escalation for operational finance issues within the shared services remit.

Process Improvement & Transformation

 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and scalability of financial operations.

 Lead change management initiatives across shared services, including standardisation, automation and optimisation projects.

 Collaborate with IT, GBS and third-party vendors to improve systems integration and performance.

 Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

 Partner with key internal stakeholders across Treasury, Corporate Finance, Reporting, Procurement and Commercial teams to ensure alignment on deliverables, cash flow forecasting, and policy compliance.

 Actively manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, insurers, and credit card providers.

 Represent the Shared Services function in cross-functional meetings and strategic projects, contributing financial and operational insights.

Essential Qualifications

 Finance or Accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent preferred).

 Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance operational or shared services role, preferably in a multinational or matrixed organisation.

 Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-regional or global finance teams, including offshore teams.

 Proven track record of driving process improvement and organisational transformation.

 Sound understanding of AR/AP processes and their impact on the general ledger and wider finance functions.

 Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

 Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Wine or FMCG industry experience is advantageous.

 

Physical and Other Requirements

 Some business travel may be required from time to time

 This is a global role; flexibility to work outside standard hours is required to engage effectively with international teams.
