About the Role
The Insurance & Projects Manager sits within the Corporate Finance Team, reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Finance with a varied remit including ownership of insurance and projects across our global business.
This pivotal role must be confident working directly with ELT and board level stakeholders and is responsible for leading the company’s annual insurance program as well as leading and assisting with finance projects across the business.
This is a full time, permanent position offer hybrid working and can be based in Adelaide or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Insurance
- Lead the annual insurance renewal, working closely with the broker and across the entire business
- Review underwriter submissions and renewal information received from the business by performing a comparison to understand key movements
- Work with the business to understand any potential claims and drive mitigation actions where appropriate
- Lead the insurance claim process, working with the broker and assessors
Projects
- Monthly reporting for one-time spend including an overview of all extra ordinary projects across the business
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Country by country documentation & reporting requirements
- Developing and implementing strategies to ensure operational activities meet strategic and business goals
- Running our lease program (setting it up in the system)
- Assist M&A team as required
As we are a global business, some out of hours work including conference calls with non-Australian time zones will be required.
What You'll Bring
- 7+years' experience in finance or financial services with a Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and CA or CPA qualification
- Solid understanding of end-to-end insurance programs, including renewals, claims, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret underwriting submissions and identify key business impacts.
- Demonstrated capability in leading and supporting cross-functional finance projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reporting.
- Experience working with executive leadership teams and board-level stakeholders in a global business environment.
- Proficiency in managing complex data and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Hands-on experience with lease accounting systems and project implementation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to influencing and building relationships across teams.
