About the role

 

Due to an internal move, we’re looking for a high-performing (Senior) National Account Manager to lead one of our most strategically important customers – Dan Murphy’s. This is a senior, high-profile role reporting to the Head of Endeavour, with full commercial ownership of the Dan Murphy’s account.

 

With the support of a NAE you’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver profitable, sustainable growth across all Vinarchy product categories. 

 

This is a rare opportunity to shape the wine category with one of Australia’s largest and most influential retailers.
 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Own and deliver annual volume, net sales, and gross profit targets
  • Lead the Dan Murphy’s team and manage a direct report
  • Build and execute strategic Joint Business Plans (JBP) and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Partner with Dan Murphy’s Category Managers to align on promotions, activations, and innovation
  • Collaborate with internal teams across marketing, category, shopper, and finance
  • Drive category reviews, NPD presentations, and investment analysis
  • Provide accurate forecasting, accrual management, and performance reporting
  • Identify and act on growth opportunities to elevate both Vinarchy and the wine category
     

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • A proven track record as a high-performing National Account Manager in the FMCG, agriculture or liquor industry with experience managing major retail accounts
  • Demonstrated understanding of FMCG / Wine / Liquor sales, category and insights
  • Deep commercial acumen with the ability to strategically lead complex customer relationships and deliver sustained growth
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience managing direct reports and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Advanced analytical skills and confidence working with data tools (e.g. IRI, Quantium) to drive insight-led decisions
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on creating win-win outcomes and building long-term partnerships
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • WSET training or deep wine knowledge (highly desirable)
