We are now seeking an experienced Brand Home Manager to lead our Church Road brand home in Hawke’s Bay — a flagship destination for fine wine, education and storytelling.
This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in customer‑facing environments, loves developing people, and is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences.
About The Role
As Brand Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and operation of the Church Road brand home. This includes overseeing curated tasting experiences, leading a passionate cellar door team, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects the quality and heritage of the Church Road brand.
Our brand home operates a range of bookable, premium tasting experiences, including back‑vintage offerings, with products ranging from approximately $25 through to $220. Guests expect depth, authenticity and knowledge — and this role sets the standard.
You'll also play a key role in coordinating logistics across shared spaces, working closely with a third‑party restaurant partner, and supporting the delivery of events such as weddings, private functions and large‑scale outdoor concerts.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop and inspire the cellar door team, including supervisors, permanent part‑timers and casual staff

Own the end‑to‑end customer experience, ensuring premium, educational and engaging wine storytelling

Drive team capability through training, coaching and hands‑on leadership on the floor

Manage day‑to‑day operations including bookings, stock, inventory and shared‑space coordination

Partner closely with winemaking teams to embed product knowledge and brand storytelling

Support and coordinate events, working with external caterers, bar contractors, promoters and licensing partners

Maintain high standards across health, safety, compliance and operational excellence
About You
You're a confident, people‑led leader with experience in premium hospitality, wine, events or customer experience environments who is equally comfortable leading a team, engaging high‑expectation customers, and managing operational complexity.
You'll bring:
- Proven people leadership experience (must have)
- Experience running busy, customer‑facing operations and leading teams on the floor
- Strong communication skills and the gravitas to engage premium clientele
- A genuine passion for wine, storytelling and education (deep wine knowledge is an advantage, but transferable experience is welcome)
- The ability to juggle competing priorities and work with multiple stakeholders
- A hands‑on, solutions‑focused leadership style
