About the role
There are 3 Positions available:
• 1 x 30 hours per week, FTC from Novemeber 2025 until 30th April 2026 – candidates must be available over a 7-day roster
• 1 x 20 hour pers week, FTC from Novemeber 2025 until 30th April 2026 – candidates must be available over a 7-day roster
• 1 x Casual Contract
The Cellar Door Host is responsible for delivering the Brand Home Vision whilst achieving the overall commercial aspirations of the business.
The purpose of this role is to educate visitors to the site by communicating the brand story with confidence through tutored wine tastings, and experiences, to drive wine club acquisitions and retail off premise sales.
The Cellar Door Host will be flexible to undertake the various tasks required each day to operate the Brand Home, as directed by the Brand Homes Manager. It is essential that this role works effectively as part of a team and enjoys the variety and interaction with consumers.
A high level of initiative, customer service and wine knowledge are essential in providing an exceptional experience to all visitors to the site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff development & Customer Service
• Deliver the brand story through tutored tasting and experiences, ensuring brand and commercial expectation alignment.
• Maintain a professional work environment including site cleanliness, uniform and appearance.
• Complete all training as required in order to fulfil the requirements of liquor licensing, wine education and wine tastings and tours.
• Feedback all customer service communication ensuring processes and standards are maintained.
• Assist with stock control and daily reconciliations.
• Assist customers in finding products, making selections and purchasing items.
• Maintain favourable working relationships with all Pernod Ricard employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
• Maintain site security, ensure the building is left secure when unattended.
2. Planning, Communication & Reporting
• Report customer feedback to the Brand Homes Manager to ensure procedure and processes are adhered to and modified where appropriate.
• Contribute to all staff meetings.
3. Budgets & Business
• Strive to achieve daily, weekly & monthly sales objectives.
• Strive to achieve weekly and monthly wine club acquisition targets.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance:

What You'll Bring:
Essential
• Sales experience, preferably in a retail environment with specified sales targets
• An appreciation and understanding of wine and wine styles
• Proven customer service skills
• Prepared to work a seven-day roster
• Ability to present to groups up to fifty guests (public speaking)
• Ability to work competently under pressure
• Self-discipline and initiative
• Excellent Communication skills
• Team player – Committed to team, company and excellence.
• The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring bending, crouching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as wine cartons and merchandise boxes. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as lifting up to 12kg
