Church Road Winery are looking for enthusiastic wine lovers with energy and ideas to join us for the 2026 vintage! Our winery is located in Hawke’s Bay, the birthplace of quality New Zealand Red Wine. We are passionate about this wine region and producing the best possible fruit & wine. About the Role
All of our Vintage Cellar Hand positions are fixed-term, for a period of 8-10 weeks.
Our vintage generally runs from Mid-February-April 2026, and the duration of employment may vary due to vintage conditions. Majority of people will work either morning or afternoon/night shifts, including weekends.
Previous winery experience is preferable.
We are looking for individuals who can work long hours and are prepared to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Team orientated, passionate individuals, who thrive working in fast paced and dynamic environments. In this role, you'll be expected to work long shifts in a physically demanding role. If this sounds like you and you fit the following criteria, we’d love to hear from you!
- Full working rights – visa holders included
- Good communication skills & the ability to work in a team, and individually
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work rotating shift work, including weekends
Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks, and the ability to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces
