About the role

This is a varied role, based at the Marlborough Vineyards office, but scoped to provide technical and operational support to the wider national viticulture management team. While the role is predominantly focused on our Marlborough operation, the technical team also supports Hawkes Bay, North Canterbury and Central Otago vineyards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee daily vineyard operations: canopy, irrigation, pest control, and harvest prep
- Develop and execute vineyard plans aligned with seasonal and long-term goals
- Monitor vine health, soil, and growth stages for timely decisions
- Manage agrichemical and nutrition programs with compliance and accuracy
- Lead and support teams and contractors for safe, efficient practices
- Maintain precise data and records to drive planning and improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- Tertiary qualification in viticulture, oenology, horticulture, agriculture, or related field
- Solid understanding of viticultural practices and hands-on vineyard operations
- Proven experience in vineyard management with a passion for continuous improvement and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to apply insights
- Expertise in planning and adjusting agrichemical and nutritional inputs
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Integrity, reliability, and commitment to best practices
- And most importantly… a great sense of humour!
