About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Site Services Operator to assist with the general site services activities across Barossa production and Brand Home sites. This includes, but is not limited to, plant and machinery operation, site maintenance, courier services, staging onsite events, general handyman activities and gardening. The position also assists in operation of Barossa production sites wastewater treatment facilities.
The incumbent will be expected to work flexible hours including working outside normal hours on occasions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Barossa production site plant and machinery operation, including operation, maintaining consumables, general maintenance, record keeping, cleaning and recycling
- Carry out general site maintenance and repair tasks including non-trades person repairs work, painting, general labour and cleaning
- Courier work on and off site as required
- Staging onsite events, set up and pack downs
- Record keeping and administration
- Supporting onsite external contractor work e.g. hosting, monitoring and securing work areas
- General handyperson and gardening tasks as required across all sites
- Operation and maintenance of all wastewater machinery and equipment under supervision, including plant and machinery operation, sample collection, maintenance of grounds and optimisation of the wastewater treatment process
- Carry out non-trade breakdown repairs, maintenance and modifications under supervision
- Adhere to sample collection schedules
- Assist with recycling duties
- Assist with system upgrades and improvements
- Monitor performance of wastewater equipment
- Record all water usage through meter readings, both mains water and wastewater
- Monitor stock levels of all wastewater consumables
- Utilise and support the implementation of new technologies and digital systems (including Ignition SCADA), to monitor performance, improve process control, support automation, and enhance reporting compliance
What You Will Bring
- General labour and/or production work experience
- Experience in Wine Industry or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Industry (desirable)
- Drivers Licence (essential)
- Forklift Licence (LF) (essential)
- Medium rigid licence (MR) (desirable)
- Light truck licence (desirable)
- Familiarity with plant, machinery and production operations
- General awareness of mechanical concepts
- Water treatment experience, including pump operation (desirable
- Ability to support the implementation and adoption of new digital technologies and systems
- Experience in compliance reporting
- Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to regularly travel between Vinarchy Barossa sites
