About this Opportunity

Our Brand Homes play a critical role in bringing our premium brands to life, delivering world class experiences that drive advocacy, loyalty and long term value.
We are seeking a Brand Home Manager – St Hugo + Grant Burge to lead our flagship Hugo+Burge Brand Home in the Barossa. This is a senior leadership role within our Brand Homes business, responsible for the strategic, commercial and operational performance of one of Vinarchy’s most important consumer destinations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Precinct Manager – Barossa, the Brand Home Manager is accountable for the end to end performance of the St Hugo + Grant Burge Brand Home, leading both Front of House and Back of House (Kitchen) operations.
This role is responsible for delivering a premium wine and dining experience that reflects the heritage, quality and positioning of both brands, while driving strong commercial outcomes and acting as a benchmark for excellence across the Brand Home portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Include
Commercial & Financial Leadership
Full ownership of the Hugo‑Burge P&L, delivering revenue, margin and profit targets
Development and execution of annual budgets, forecasts and trading plans
Accountability for key financial KPIs including revenue, conversion, average transaction value, cost of goods, payroll, SG&A and profitability
Identification of commercial opportunities and risks, driving continuous improvement and corrective actions
Operational Leadership
Lead operational strategies to increase conversion from tasting to purchase and grow spend per visitor across the tasting room and restaurant
Ensure robust stock management, inventory control and POS governance
Maintain compliance with all HSE, audit and regulatory requirements, embedding a strong safety and accountability culture
Brand Experience & Leadership
Act as a brand custodian for St Hugo and Grant Burge, ensuring every consumer touchpoint reflects premium positioning and storytelling
Build, lead and inspire a high‑performing, engaged team, with clear coaching, performance management and succession planning
Partner with Marketing, Tourism and Commercial teams to activate brand strategy through campaigns, PR moments and visitation programmes
Lead VIP, trade and media hosting as a senior brand ambassador
Capture customer data and drive member acquisition in line with the Distinction Wines strategy
Kitchen & Dining
Provide strategic leadership of the kitchen and dining offer in partnership with the Executive Chef
Conduct regular performance reviews against KPIs, guest feedback and quality standards
Ensure food and wine offerings remain contemporary, premium and wine‑led
Maintain and grow food, wine and service ratings across key industry platforms, positioning Hugo‑Burge as a leading Barossa destination
Additional Requirements

Availability to work across a 7 day roster, including evenings and events

Ability to cover the Precinct Manager role during planned or unplanned absences

Occasional domestic travel and out of hours work as required
Experience and Capability
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven senior leadership experience in premium hospitality, wine tourism or luxury brand environments
- Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated P&L ownership and delivery of revenue and profit targets
- Experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary teams across FOH, BOH and operations
- Deep understanding of premium service standards, guest experience and brand storytelling
- Strong capability in conversion, visitation, member growth and customer lifetime value
- Confidence partnering cross‑functionally with Marketing, Commercial and Tourism teams
- Experience hosting VIPs, trade and media at a senior level
- A passion for wine, food and premium brand experiences
