About The Role
You’ll support the Executive and Head Chef to deliver an à la carte menu and premium experiences that reflect the St Hugo ethos.
Expect hands‑on service across restaurant and lounge, close collaboration with FOH, and smart, disciplined kitchen operations: stock control, ordering, prep standards, hygiene, and equipment care. You’ll play a part in cost management and continuous improvement, too.
What You'll Do
- Execute outstanding, honest food aligned to our food‑and‑wine philosophy
- Collaborate with FOH to convert visitor traffic into delighted diners.
- Help shape function menus and support events as needed
- Maintain stock, compliance, kitchen hygiene, and equipment standards.
- Uphold QSE policies (Quality, Safety, Environment) and RSA requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and proven technical skills.
- Food Safety certification and Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- Passion for wine and the Barossa; clear communication; team mindset.
- Flexibility for a 7‑day operating environment and occasional after‑hours events.
- Desirable: 3+ years’ experience, First Aid/Fire Warden training, and local hospitality knowledge.
