About the Role

This is more than reactive maintenance.

As an Electrical Reliability Technician, you’ll focus on improving equipment reliability and eliminating repeat electrical and control system failures across a high-volume packaging environment. Working closely with production and engineering, you’ll take ownership of electrical performance, fault finding, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate electrical and control system faults and conduct root cause analysis
  • Improve reliability of motors, VSDs, PLCs, sensors and packaging line control systems
  • Perform planned and breakdown electrical maintenance and support commissioning
  • Identify critical components and manage electrical spare parts
  • Support apprentices and contractors with a strong safety focus
  • Contribute to improvement and reliability projects across automation and control systems Support apprentices and contractors with a strong safety focus

What You'll Bring

  • Electrical trade qualification (Electrician / Electrical Maintenance)
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or packaging environments
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and control systems
  • Experience with motors, VSDs, PLCs, sensors and electrical drawings
  • Ability to use CMMS and basic computer systems

 

Desirable

  • Exposure to TPM / 5S or reliability frameworks
  • PLC experience (e.g. Siemens / Allen-Bradley)
  • Forklift, EWP or other high-risk licences
