About the role
We’re looking for a Finance Manager Innovation to partner closely with our Global Innovation Director and play a central role in shaping our innovation agenda. Reporting to the Head of FPA, this role is less about reporting and more about influencing decisions, identifying opportunities and improving outcomes across the innovation pipeline.You’ll be embedded end-to-end, from early concept through to post-launch, using data and insights to guide where we invest and how we maximise return.
Please note: this role is a full time permanent position and can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Innovation Shadow P&L, providing visibility across the global portfolio
- Partner with Innovation and cross-functional teams to shape investment decisions from concept to post-launch
- Lead financial and volumetric modelling across the Stage Gate process (G1–G5)
- Assess profitability, size of prize, risk and cannibalisation across initiatives
- Own innovation budgeting, forecasting and portfolio trade-offs
- Provide clear performance insight and recommend what to prioritise, pivot or stop
- Support OPEX and CAPEX investment decisions with practical, decision-ready insight
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve pipeline performance and unlock value
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce
- 4-5 years Experience in FP&A, commercial finance and/or business partnering
- Strong financial modelling capability (including volumetrics and scenario analysis)
- Ability to translate data into commercial insight and influence decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to challenge constructively
- Curious, proactive mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just outputs
