The Role

 

We are searching for a Senior Analyst Marketing and FP&A to be responsible for providing ongoing financial support for all marketing activities, including partnering with Brand & Category teams to manage spend v budget, tracking of R&Os, pre-investment and post-investment analysis. Reporting into the FP&A Manager, the role will facilitate a seamless and accurate management of reporting processes across all commercial functions, including Sales, Marketing, and Category as well as provide financial and commercial insight into the profit & performance of ANZP business units. 

 

This is a full time, permanent position that can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
 

Role Responsibilities

 

Timely and Accurate Financial Reporting:

Ensure on-time delivery and accurate compilation of: 
•    Monthly Business Outlook
•    Monthly Commercial Review meetings, including financial results and full-year forecasts
•    Ongoing Opportunities & Risk (O&R) tracking
•    Brand and SKU profitability reporting
•    Budget and Strategic Plan deliverables 

 

Strategic Financial Support for Marketing and Category Teams:
•    Provide go-to financial support by delivering accurate and timely analysis of key drivers of brand performance
•    Assist Brand Managers in preparing comprehensive and accurate commercial reviews
•    Maintain meticulous tracking of marketing spend against budget, including working/non-working ratios
•    Ensure accurate tracking of NPD progress, including comprehensive P&L preparation and financial support for each stage of the gate process, coupled with detailed analysis of the financial drivers influencing project success and failure

 


SG&A Management:
•    Partner with business stakeholders to monitor and control SG&A, ensuring accurate cost planning, proper cost treatment, and effective spending management across the ANZ Region.


Effective Liaison and Communication:
•    Serve as a key liaison between Global FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, and the Commercial ANZ team, ensuring accurate and timely information flow
•    Guarantee commercial teams meet all monthly reporting deliverables with accuracy
•    Communicate all necessary adjustments to quarterly forecasts or budget submissions accurately and promptly
•    Provide accurate and reliable support to the FP&A Manager on ad-hoc projects and analytical requirements


Collaborative Forecasting and Results Management:
•    Collaborate with ANZ Commercial Managers to foster a "No Surprises" environment for forecasting and monthly results through accurate and transparent reporting
•    Support the FP&A Manager, Finance Director, and Managing Director in completing accurate ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required

 

Driving Value Through Enhanced Reporting:
•    Contribute to organisational change by creating and maintaining accurate, integrated, and insightful reports that provide detailed visibility of performance to wider teams
•    Maintain standards of our reporting structure
•    Some business travel may be required from time to time
•    Occasional out of hours work may be required  

 

What You'll Bring

•    3+ years’ experience in a Financial/Commercial role
•    University qualifications within Accounting, Commerce and CPA, CIMA or CA
•    Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
•    High level interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work well unsupervised and as part of a team
•    Ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations
•    Organisational skills, particularly the ability to prioritise and multi-task
•    Ability to meet deadlines and commitments
•    Results driven and demonstrates initiative
