About The Role
We're looking for a highly organised and commercially curious Category Executive to join our Category & Insights team based in Sydney, reporting to our Head of Category & Insights.
Supporting our Australia, New Zealand and Asia markets, you'll turn data into decisions — delivering the category insights, analysis and reporting that shape key commercial calls across the business.
You'll partner with Sales, Marketing, Insights, Innovation and Commercial teams, working with tools like Nielsen, Circana/IRI, Kantar and Power BI to build compelling, customer-centric category stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Support category activation plans across range, merchandising, promotions and portfolio priorities
- Turn market, panel and loyalty data into clear, actionable insights and reporting suites
- Track category, channel and brand performance — spotting the drivers, risks and opportunities
- Partner with internal and customer stakeholders to bring insight-led recommendations to life
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Sales and Innovation on category-led selling stories
Your Knowledge and Skills
- At least 3 years’ experience in FMCG, preferably in category management, shopper insights, sales support, trade marketing, or a market data agency.
- Experience analysing consumer/shopper trends and market performance is strongly beneficial.
- Competence in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with market/shopper data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Circana/IRI, Kantar, loyalty card platforms).
- Ability to manage, process, and interpret large datasets
- Understanding of planogram principles and retailer requirements (development experience beneficial).
- Proficiency using PowerBI
- Highly desirable - Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Analytics, Commerce or related discipline).
